A Los Angeles gang is framed for killing the boss of the city’s top gang during a time of peace, sending them on a dangerous cross-city mission to get back to their home turf alive.
Warriors is a remake of the 1979 film, The Warriors, a movie that still holds up to this day. If for some reason you haven’t checked it out, I suggest you do so immediately.
A rough and tumble NYC gang called The Warriors are framed for killing Cyrus, the leader of the most powerful gang in New York. Cyrus has been trying to unite all the gangs in the area, so they can rule the city as one unit.
When a big meeting for all the gangs is organized by Cyrus, the head of Gramercy Riffs, all hell breaks loose after Cyrus is shot. The Warriors are falsely accused of being the ones responsible, now they must make it back alive to Coney Island before retribution is taken.. back to their own turf.
The film is about their journey back to their own turf, the fights they endure.. and fighting to clear their name.
In Warriors 2011, we are still unsure if they will write in the most memorable characters for the remake. We can only assume The Baseball Furies will most certainly be in this 2011 remake.
